Amarnath is one of the most well-known pilgrimage sites in India, and the government of Jammu and Kashmir organises it every year. Hindu culture is heavily influenced by the shrine, which is one of the holiest sanctuaries. With the exception of a brief period in the summer, the main cave is generally constantly covered in snow and is situated at a height of 12,756 feet above sea level. Belief of Amarnath Yatra
According to legend, God Shiva told Goddess Parvati the Amar Katha in the Amarnath Cave because he wanted to keep it a secret. Nandi, his riding companion, the bull, was left at Pahalgam, as were the moon atop his head, the snake around his neck, the five necessities of life he carried, At Mahaguna Top, Panchtarini and even his son, Lord Ganesha, can be seen.
After he was done, he realised that the parrot had been listening the entire time, and that Goddess Parvati had actually dozed off. The Lord became enraged by this and threw his Trishul to kill the parrot. To protect himself, the parrot flew into the saint's wife's womb. The child later grew up to become a well-known sage.
