Public Representatives: Families having a current or former Member of Parliament (MP) or Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) are ineligible.
Government position: Families whose members are chairmen, vice-chairman, directors or members of boards, corporations or undertakings of the Government of India or a state government are not eligible. Land ownership: Families jointly owning more than five acres of land are ineligible.
